Biography

Born in Hokkaido in 2000, based in Yamagata, Japan.

 Working at the intersection of time, digital absence, and material process, Wada takes as a central question the homogenizing structure of contemporary time accelerated by social media and AI. What is lost in the drive toward speed and uniformity? What is being covered over? Through flat works that harness the oxidation of silver leaf and sculptural works built around the act of packaging, Wada traces the residue of what contemporary time erases.

2000年 北海道生まれ。山形県在住。

SNSとAIが加速させる現代の時間の1元的構造、そして不在としてのデジタルデータを問いの核とする。速度と均質化のなかで何が失われ、何が覆われているのか。銀箔の酸化プロセスによる平面作品と梱包による立体作品を通じて、現代の時間が消去するものの痕跡を問い続けている。
